I am the founder of okalai.org, a project that focuses on enhancing AI education and supporting the future of AI research and development in Namibia (& other African countries). It brings me immense joy and pride to witness our students‘ unwavering dedication to learning and growth in this emerging field.
As a faculty co-lead, I’m actively involved in the UCSD-HBCU Computer Science for Social Impact Summer Institute. This program is specifically designed to offer students from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) enriching research experiences, empowering them to use computer science as a tool for societal betterment
